Biden’s Build Back Better Passes the House

This article explains what the Build Back Better Act, which was passed through the House, could do for United States citizens. The Build Back Better Act was passed by a 220-213 vote and would cost around 2 trillion dollars over 10 years. The Senate is currently divided between 50 Democrats and 50 Republicans, and if it came down to a tie Kamala Harris would be the tiebreaker. The bill would guarantee four weeks of universal paid leave for new parents, people dealing with serious medical conditions, and workers who care for a loved one with a medical issue. The BBB Act would also include around $5 billion in funding to support small businesses. The BBB act would also “invest about $390 billion to fund universal pre-kindergarten programs for all 3- and 4-year-olds and to improve access to affordable child care.”
